What's Stirring
Your PF Is Coming Early. Here Is Why.

What happened?
EPFO is crediting ₹1.44 lakh crore in PF interest for FY26 to 34 crore member accounts by July 15. The interest rate is 8.25%. This would normally arrive in October or November - the earlier credit is because of a major tech overhaul.
What changed?
EPFO has migrated to a new centralised platform called CITES. Members can check balances, claims, and pension records through a single portal - from any EPFO office in the country, not just the one linked to their account.
What else is new?
Auto PF transfers when you change jobs. Interest calculated until the day of payment, not just the previous month. Simplified withdrawal rules - 13 categories reduced to three. And claims auto-settled up to ₹5 lakh.
Why it matters:
34 crore people have PF accounts. Most of them have never had a smooth experience with EPFO. If CITES works the way it is supposed to, that changes - and the July 15 interest credit is the first real test. Read More →

The state has set a target of 12 crore workdays for 2026-27, with the Centre putting in ₹3,825 crore. For rural workers in Telangana, that means more days of guaranteed income, weekly wage payments, and compensation if work is delayed. Read More →
