India looked upward, outward, and toward the future this week.

ISRO is trying to make lunar landers survive longer on the Moon.

The Northeast is pitching itself as India’s next infrastructure story.

And somewhere on Instagram, people are skipping the talking stage and asking to see your YouTube homepage first.

Let’s get into it.

ISRO wants its next Moon lander to last 200 days

ISRO and the Department of Atomic Energy are working together on an artificial heating system that could help a lunar lander survive the Moon’s brutal temperature swings.

ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said the goal is to build a lander that can stay active on the Moon for up to 200 days.

That is a big jump from Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander, which ran on solar power and operated for about 14 days.

The Moon is easy to land on once. It is harder to survive there.

With lunar nights lasting about 14 Earth days and temperatures falling to nearly minus 129°C, the new heating system could help future landers stay alive longer.

ISRO is also widening its space research partnerships across science, industry and medicine. What you should know →

Why it matters: A lander that survives lunar nights would move India from one-time missions to longer scientific operations.

Your “Healthy” Snack May Need a Reality Check

FSSAI has issued notices to 14 food companies over allegedly misleading claims using words like “healthy” and “organic.”

According to reports, the companies include brands such as Britannia, Parle, ITC, Dabur, Patanjali, Amul, Mother Dairy, Haldiram’s, and PepsiCo India, among others.

It’s a good reminder that packaging often sells the promise, while the ingredient list tells the real story. Read More

Five IPOs Worth ₹3,500 Crore Line Up

India’s primary market may be getting busy again, with five IPOs worth about ₹3,500 crore expected to hit the market in the coming weeks.

The reported pipeline includes companies across jewellery, fintech, textiles, tourism and packaging. It comes after recent listings showed early signs of investor appetite returning.

IPO activity is often treated like a market mood board.

When more companies test public markets, it usually means promoters and bankers believe investor confidence is strong enough to absorb new supply. Read More

🐯 Monsoon Safaris Are Still Open, If You Pick the Right Jungle

Most wildlife parks pause safaris during the monsoon, but not all of them shut completely. A few reserves continue tourism through selected zones and buffer areas in July.

The list includes:

  • Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve,

  • Pench National Park, Satpura National Park,

  • Dudhwa National Park

  • Nagarhole National Park

These parks offer a different kind of safari season: greener forests, fuller water bodies, fewer crowds and a slower pace.

The budget is often lower than peak season, with basic two-to-three-day trips estimated at around ₹8,000 to ₹15,000 per person.

This is travel with a footnote. Monsoon safaris need careful planning, zone checks and weather awareness.

But for travellers who do not mind rain, the jungle may actually be at its most alive. Know More
