Quote of the day

Good morning.
Quick one before we start: name five chutneys. Now try for ten. A Mumbai food chronicler spent two years finding 230 of them, and the list will make you feel like you have barely scratched the surface of your own kitchen.
That, an AI story that affects nearly 6 million Indian jobs, and a cockpit door that saved 174 lives. Shall we?

How many chutneys can you name without thinking?
Five? Ten? Mumbai food chronicler Rushina Munshaw-Ghildiyal spent more than two years documenting over 230 of them, with recipes and stories contributed by 140 people.
And we’re not just talking coconut and mint. The collection includes red-ant chapda from Chhattisgarh, axone made with fermented soybeans in Nagaland, Kerala’s nutmeg fruit chutney and Kumaon’s bhangjeera.
Reading this made me want to call my mother and finally ask for her chutney recipe.
What's Stirring
🤖 AI is making Indian IT more efficient. That's also the problem.

Image generated through AI
Indian IT has always grown the same way: more projects, more people, more billable hours. AI is breaking that formula.
Clients now want AI to make projects faster and cheaper, and they expect the savings passed on to them, not kept by companies like TCS, Infosys, HCLTech and Wipro.
That squeeze is real even as these companies pour money into their own AI services. The industry employs nearly 6 million people, so this is not a small shift. Nobody is talking about replacing entire teams, but some projects now need fewer hands, while demand is rising fast for AI and cloud skills.
The question now is simple: can Indian IT turn AI into new growth, or does it just become a way to do more with less? Read more →
