A traveller lost his MacBook on a rain-drenched Bengaluru road. He was in the middle of the street, crying, when an e-rickshaw driver pulled over.
The driver had found the laptop, kept it safe, and returned it without asking for anything in return.

The Cabinet approved eight railway multitracking projects worth ₹20,804 crore on Wednesday, covering 31 districts across nine states. The projects will add 1,196 km to the network and are planned for completion by 2029-30. Read More →

Five projects worth ₹10,021 crore cover Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana. Three projects worth ₹10,783 crore cover West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
What else?
The government also approved four-laning of seven high-density corridors that carry nearly 40% of India's rail traffic: Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Chennai, Chennai-Kolkata, Kolkata-Delhi, Delhi-Howrah, Howrah-Mumbai, and Delhi-Guwahati.
Why it matters:
Indian Railways loses freight to road transport every year because congested corridors cannot handle the volume.
These projects are designed to fix exactly that. The expected additional freight capacity: 74 million tonnes per year across the eight new routes.

In the 1950s, a dam was about to drown an ancient city in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district. Vijayapuri, the Ikshvaku capital, had stood in this valley since the third century.
So archaeologists spent six years lifting the Maha-Stupa, a bathing ghat, an amphitheatre, and nine other monuments to higher ground. Then the water came in.
That hilltop is an island now. A ferry takes you there. The valley is still underwater.
